11 WS/FCS seniors are National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Eleven students in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County high schools have been named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists for the 2018 Scholarship Program.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced the names of about 16,000 semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth about $32 million that will be offered next spring.
Scholarships are underwritten both by the program and by about 420 business organizations and higher education institutions.
