-HBCU Gameday- One former HBCU football star’s improbable NFL career will continue on the West Coast. Former Winston-Salem State defensive end William Hayes has re-signed with Los Angeles Rams, according to multiple reports.
Hayes, 30, agreed to a three-year deal with the franchise, according to ESPN.com’s Josina Alexander. His signing comes a week after the Rams released fellow defensive end Howie Long, a former first round pick.
Hayes was drafed by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He has 29.5 sacks in 270 games.
