Lewisville Library hosting series of events

Lewisville Branch Library, 6490 Shallowford Rd., has a busy August planned.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m., the Tuesdays at Two Book Club invites the public to discuss the book “Mrs. Poe” by Lynn Cullers.
A creative writing class will be offered on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. If you have ever wanted to write a novel, your memoirs or your family history, the class will help you get started. The class will offer exercises to help attendees brainstorm. Those who come are asked to bring a notepad, a pen or a laptop. This class is for adults.
On Thursday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., the library will host a “mini book sale.” Great book deals will be available, officials say.
The Friends Book Club will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to take part in the Club’s discussion of William Kamkwamba’s “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.”
Another creative writing event will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 1:30 p.m. Throughout the month, art by local artist Joshua Gwynn will be on display in the library’s Auditorium Gallery.
