A&T’s Fini named top leader under 40
Dr. Ellie Fini, a civil engineer professor at North Carolina A&T State University, was recently named to the Triad Business Journal’s “2013 40 Leaders Under Forty” list. A ceremony for the leaders was held at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Fini has been working with biowaste for the past four years to create an adhesive alternate to expensive petroleum based adhesives. She has been working with colleagues to create a spin-off company for the university, PiGrid. In years past, she has been named outstanding junior researcher and rookie of the year in A&T’s Research Excellence Awards.
The annual list honors young leaders for their accomplishments and contributions to the Piedmont Triad as well as their potential in the years to come.
