Local youth attend 2017 Xinos/Kudos conference

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. 69th Xinos/Kudos Youth Leadership Conference convened at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach.
There were over 350 youth, grades 9th-12th in attendance, along with Hub Parents, Youth Advisors and members of the sorority.
The theme was “The Challenges and Preparation for Future Leadership in a Diverse Society.” Four of the six youth members from Beta Lambda Chapter were in attendance March 17-19.
Along with participating in workshops, each one participated in various areas of talent and competition: Da’Maya Jefferies, Art; Jada Moye, Dance; RaShawana Huntley, Instrumental (Violin); and Kenya Brabham, Oratorical. Jada Moye won 1st place in dance, and Beta Lambda Xinos won 3rd place for their Activity Book.
They were accompanied by the chapter president, Patsy Squire; youth advisers, and Anthropos. Beta Lambda Chapter will host the youth conference in 2019.
