‘Couch Party’ meet and greet coming Aug. 20
On Sunday, Aug. 20, the cast of the hit movie “Couch Party” will hold a meet and greet at Chilly Philly, 454 Knollwood Street. “Couch Party” is written, produced and directed by North Carolina native Nachela Knox, founder of GoGetHer Productions. The movie, which was filmed entirely on location here in Winston-Salem, is a comedy about a young woman named Briella who flees to the small town of Maple Creek in hopes to escape her abusive husband. However, she quickly realizes that her problems are just beginning when she’s gifted an old couch that has a unique kind of magic – when men sit on it, they immediately fall into a coma.
Since making its debut on Tubi last month, “Couch Party” has received rave reviews. Knox and her team hosted a sold out premiere at The Grand Theatre on University Pkwy a few weeks ago, and the movie is currently sitting at 9.2/ 10 rating on IMDB.
