Parents, students, staff and members of the broader community are invited to help design the future of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS). WS/FCS will offer two community listening sessions on the proposed 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.

The sessions will be:

*Tuesday, April 15, 6-7:30 p.m., Carver High School, 3545 Carver School Road, Winston-Salem

*Thursday, April 17, 6-7:30 p.m., WS/FCS Education Building, Room 219, 4801 Bethania Station Road, Winston-Salem

The current five-year strategic plan was developed in 2019 and established goals for the district related to student achievement, equity and access, community engagement, human resource development, and climate and safety. However, the way education works has changed significantly since 2019, perhaps most notably because of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout this school year, the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education and staff are developing the district’s 2025-30 Strategic Plan, guided by dedication to student success and shaped by community input. This plan will set the long-term vision, goals and strategies for improving student achievement across the district.

The first input collection phase ended in January and the Strategic Plan Steering Committee worked together to draft the strategic plan in February. Now that draft is available for public review, and it will be reviewed based on further feedback from the community with the hope of proposing it for the board of education’s approval in May.
