Please join the Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission and the Körner’s Folly Foundation for a Taste of History event to celebrate Historic Preservation Month.

Presentations will be given by the Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission and the Körner’s Folly Foundation on historic designations and the legacy of the Korner/Kerner Family and the built environment of Kernersville. The program will be held on Saturday, May 3, 10-11:30 a.m., at the John and Bobbie Wolfe Visitor’s Center, 401 S. Main St., Kernersville.

Brittany Hendley from Körner’s Folly will be sharing information on the legacy of the Kerner/Körner’s family and the buildings they built and lived in on Main Street in Kernersville, while Michelle McCullough, Commission staff, will present details about the Historic Resources Commission and the Local Historic Landmark Program.

The program is free to attend, and light refreshments will be served.

On the conclusion of this event, a special self-guided walking tour brochure of historic Körner/Kerner landmarks will be available to attendees.

The old sanctuary of the Moravian Church, and their History Room, will be open for tours for about an hour following the program. Tickets to tour Körner’s Folly will be available also after the presentations.
