The City of Winston-Salem’s Neighborhood Services Department invites residents to attend its Open House series, starting in May, to help attendees better understand the department’s role within the community.
“The Neighborhood Services Department encourages residents to attend one of the open house series meetings to learn more about our different divisions,” said Assistant Director Samuel Hunter. “Staff members will share information about home repair financial assistance, commercial business repair financial assistance, housing and community services, forming neighborhood associations, and code enforcement.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about how the Neighborhood Services Department can assist with code enforcement issues and complaints, lending opportunities for homeowners, the process to start up a neighborhood association, homelessness issues, and affordable housing questions. Guests will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with subject-matter experts from the department.
