Local organizations help students prepare with back-to-school giveaways

The start of the 2025-2026 school year is just around the corner and local nonprofits, churches, businesses and other organizations are doing their part to ensure students have the supplies they need to start the school year. The first day of school for students in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) is Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Here’s a list of some of the back-to-school giveaways scheduled in the coming weeks.
