Beards have been growing in popularity over the past couple of years. Noticing the trend and looking for a better product for his beard, Travis Robinson decided to start a beard care business.
For those that grew up in the 1990s and were basketball fans, the Hoop It Up tournament was a rite of passage. Now, the kids of Forsyth County and beyond will have the opportunity to take part in the classic tournament on August 13 at Forsyth Country Day School, 5501 Shallowford Road, Lewisville, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The West Forsyth Titans didn’t have to look far for their new boys basketball head coach. Former Atkins head coach Marlon Brim was introduced as the new head coach last week during a press conference.
Winston Salem Preparatory Academy has named their new girls basketball head coach. Charles Crews was selected to lead the Lady Phoenix in hopes of returning the program back to past glory.
Whole Man Ministries (WMM) has been attacking the unhoused veteran issue head on for several years. Their most recent project took nearly a year to complete and is now move-in ready for another homeless veteran.
During the summer, students can lose up to 25% of what they learned in the school year. To help combat this issue, the United Way of Forsyth County recently held a summer camp fair at the Salvation Army Citadel that addressed the learning loss issue. Many of these camps are still accepting students.
