Aaron Grier and the Lady Eagles varsity basketball team had a very successful season this year. After posting a 13-2 record, and an appearance in the second round of the playoffs, Grier is hoping to continue building a standard of excellence and a winning tradition for the girl’s basketball team at East Forsyth.
As the NBA regular season draws to a close, I like to think I have a clear idea of who will win the various NBA awards. This season was shortened by 10 games, but it was definitely a large enough sample size. Injuries and missed games played a major role with some of the contenders for these awards, but all in all, those who I think will win are fully deserving.
A little over a year ago, Brandon Horne had a decision to make. He had recently been let go from his job due to the pandemic and had to choose if he was going to apply for another corporate job, or go all in as an entrepreneur.
In a season that was totally unpredictable and unprecedented, the Spartans of Mount Tabor were crowned 3A Football State Champions after defeating Cleveland High School 24-16 to cap off an undefeated 11-0 season.
The League, sponsored by the Josh Howard Foundation, has made it’s return to the city. As the premiere adult men’s league in the Triad area, players and fans were eager to have the teams lace them up and start playing basketball again in The League.

Living Water Bibleway Temple recently opened their doors in Winston-Salem. Senior pastor, Bishop Anthony Bazemore, and his wife, Prophetess Q.
