The Stained Glass Playhouse production of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” opened on May 3-5 at the theater located at 4401 Indiana Avenue in the former sanctuary at Marvin United Methodist Church. Friday and Saturday productions are held at 8 p.m. and the Sunday production is held at 3 p.m. The productions will continue during the following weekends: May 10-12 and May 17-19.
On Saturday, May 11, the Winston-Salem Symphony will present a concert that just may well be a historic event when two dynamic women – Michelle Merrill and Nia Franklin – join together in “At Last: Nia Imani Franklin.”
Mrs. Harris’ family and friends had the honor to celebrate her at the Salem Lake Marina where she received Mayor J. Allen Joines’ Proclamation declaring her birthday, April 23, 2024, as Rematha Harris Day.

The Winston-Salem Pops is bringing back the music of the ‘60s in their concert, “Swingin’ the ‘60s: Celebrating the Sixties in Song.” The concert will be held on Friday, May 17, 6:30 p.m., at Ardmore Baptist Church in the Brown Auditorium, 501 Miller Street.
