Bryce Baker named at a top 20 quarterback in the nation
Bryce Baker, a rising senior at East Forsyth High School, a University of North Carolina commit, and top 20 quarterback in the nation in the 2025 recruiting class, earned an invite to the most prestigious high school quarterback competition in the nation.
Bryce earned an invitation while competing at the Atlanta Elite 11 regional competition in April. The Atlanta regional is considered one of the toughest regions to earn an invite; however, Baker was one of two from the Atlanta region that punched his ticket to the finals that will be held this summer in Los Angeles, California. Bryce is just the sixth Tar Heel quarterback commit to make it to the Elite 11 finals, joining Drake Maye (2020), Jacoby Criswell (2019), Sam Howell (2018), Chaz Surratt (2015), and Bryan Renner (2008).
Elite 11 brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training. Bryce feels very happy and blessed to receive this invite; however, his goal is to win MVP at the finals. “I give God all the glory. Elite 11 Finals has been on my vision board and to see it become reality is such a humbling experience,” says Bryce. Mike and Charmon Baker of Kernersville are the proud parents of Bryce Baker. They are both grateful and happy to see Bryce’s hard work paying off. “We see the hard work, late nights, early mornings, film study, etc. that Bryce puts into his craft, says Mike Baker. “Bryce is different, he’s not a young man that you have to motivate to train; it’s the total opposite with Bryce. We have to encourage him to take a break, have balance and enjoy being a teenager,” says Charmon Baker.
Elite 11 alumni include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and more recently Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young and more.
Baker is preparing for his senior season at East Forsyth High School after having an awesome junior season where he was named an all-conference player and all state honorable mention this past season, throwing for 3,082 yds, 39 TD passes and just 3 interceptions with a QBR rating of 133.7. Bryce was also a member of East Forsyth’s varsity basketball team this past season where he reached the 1,000 point milestone and averaged 16 points per game.
Good luck this summer in Los Angeles, Bryce!
