Attorney Artrese Ziglar made history last week when she became the first Black woman to receive the Harvey Lupton Award, which is awarded annually by the Forsyth County Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers Association.
After making a verbal commitment last year, standout midfielder Aaryn Gabriel made it official last week when she signed her National Letter of Intent. Next fall Aaryn, who is a senior at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy (WSPA), will be taking her talents to Minnesota University.
The football field at Carver High School will now and forever be known as Keith Wilkes Field. The field was dedicated to the legendary football coach during a special ceremony last Friday.
