Senior Services’ Home Care department is dedicated to providing quality, professional, and compassionate care to older adults who experience difficulty addressing the activities of daily life – such as bathing, dressing, eating, and preparing meals, and who need assistance to remain in their homes, living independently, with dignity and purpose. Senior Services’ Meals-on-Wheels program has been providing meals and safety checks to older adults since 1962. This year there are about 1,200 Forsyth County seniors participating in the program and relying on the agency for nutritional support, a brief friendly visit and wellness check each weekday.
Sue and Malcolm Pettit had hoped to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and relatives. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has made those plans impossible, but because of a new program of The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem, their anniversary will not go unnoticed.
