On Wednesday, Dec. 5, Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery

Chronicle subscribers will receive their newspapers a day late as the U.S. Postal Service suspends regular mail delivery. President Donald J. Trump has declared Wednesday, Dec. 5, as a national day of mourning, calling on Americans to remember the vast contributions of former President George H.W. Bush, who died late Friday, Nov. 30, at age 94 , was a World War II hero, a Texas congressman, the director of the CIA, vice president and eventually president. Members of the public have been lining up to pay their respects to the former president. Bush’s casket is in the Capitol Rotunda until his Wednesday, Dec. 5, funeral. To honor the life and legacy of President Bush, the Postal Service will observe the national day of mourning on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

*All Post Office locations will be closed.

*Regular mail will not be delivered.

*Package delivery will be limited.
