Coach L’Tona Lamonte picked up her 100th career win as the Lady Rams defeated Bluefield State 81-78 in overtime inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (6-15, 2–9 CIAA, 1-4 South) on the season.
Jakaiya Mack led the Rams with a season-high double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Christiana McLean with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Tolisha Walker chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds.

How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Big Blue took an early 7-3 lead (7:47). Christiana McLean made the score 7-6 on a lay-up (6:35). Christiana McLean hit a jumper, cutting the score to 15-13 (4:04). The Big Blue closed out the quarter on a 5-2 run, taking a 20-15 lead into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, a Jakaiya Mack lay-up cut the score 25-22 (6:40). Alana Biosse tied the game 26-26 on a lay-up (3:21). A Karina Scott three-pointer gave the Rams their first lead of the game 31-30, with 1:56 remaining in the half. The Rams took a 34-32 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Rams went on an 8-2 run, extending their lead to 42-34 on a basket from Jakaiya Mack (8:04). The Big Blue went on a 12-0 run, taking a 50-46 lead (3:04). La’Niya Simes tied the game 50-50 on a lay-up (2:12) and then gave the Rams a 54-53 lead on a lay-up with 28 seconds left in the quarter. The Rams took a 54-53 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Rams went on a 5-0 run taking 59-53 on a Tolisha Walker lay-up (8:03). The Rams then went on a 6-0 run, extending their lead to 65-55 on a Christiana McLean lay-up (5:24). In overtime, BSU went up 75-72 on a lay-up (3:52). With the score 77-74 BSU, the Rams closed out overtime on a 7-1 run winning 81-78.
