Emmanuel Baptist Church celebrates the 2nd Pastoral Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Herbert Miller II
On Friday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 18, the Emmanuel Baptist Church family will celebrate Dr. Herbert Miller’s second Pastoral Anniversary. A native of Winston Salem, Dr. Miller answered the call to pastor Emmanuel Baptist Church in 2020 and returned from Flint, Michigan, to his hometown. In just two short years, Dr. Miller has made a profound impact on the growth, spirituality and community outreach of the historic Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In recognition of his outstanding leadership and vision, the congregation will host a series of fellowship events and worship services. The anniversary celebration begins on Friday, Feb. 16, with a family-friendly skate night event and continues on Saturday afternoon with a Brunch celebrating Lady Veronica Miller. Saturday night Emmanuel members and friends will enjoy an Evening of Jazz with the Millers.
To culminate the anniversary celebration, two distinguished pastors will deliver the messages for the morning and afternoon worship services on Sunday, Feb. 18. Rev. Dr. Rodney Coleman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Chapel Hill, is the guest preacher for the 10 a.m. service and Rev. Dr. James H. Wilkes, Jr., pastor of Elon First Baptist Church will deliver the message for the 3 p.m. anniversary worship service.
