Faith Unity outreach event draws many

Fellowship of Faith Unity Missionary Church held its 12th outreach event on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Masonic Lodge Prince Hall at 1025 East 14th St.
More than 200 children and adults, many from nearby Cleveland Avenue homes, took part in the event, which included fellowshipping and a giveaway. An array of donated items – including furniture, shoes, toys and school supplies – were given out.
For the past few years, the church has held two outreach fellowships a year. Faith Unity congregation collects items throughout the year for the programs. This year, 10 bags of groceries were given away as well.
The outreach fellowship began in 2006 with a focus on supplying the essential needs of others while sharing the spiritual Word with the residents in the nearby communities.
