“If That’s Not Cheating, Then What Is?” by author and playwright Cindy Argiento of Greensboro has been selected to be a part of the Greensboro Fringe Festival 2020.

In today’s society, cheating has taken on a new meaning. Argiento’s play looks at the many faces of cheating and leaves it to the viewer to decide what cheating really entails.

Starring Courtney Wells and Logan Chidester, “Cheating” features Maryl Wilson, Gregg Vogelmeier, Stevenson Burch, Julia Rushing, and Jean Wentz. The show is directed by Marsha McNeely Hierl of ARTC Theatre in Winston-Salem.

“If That’s Not Cheating, Then What Is?” will be presented at the Caldcleugh Multicultural Art Center in Greensboro on Jan, 25 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.

Argiento’s humorous stories have been in many For Seniors Only publications. She also wrote “Stanley & Alice,” a humorous play based on a day in the life of a curmudgeon husband who always fears the worst and his sassy but loving and supportive wife. This show premiered at ARTC Theatre in Winston-Salem in March 2019. A follow-up skit featuring the Stanley & Alice characters, “The Caveman Theory,” will be performed in December 2019 at the annual meeting of the Winston-Salem Downtown Arts District Association.

Cindy Argiento is also the author of “Deal With Life’s Stress With A Little Humor” and has been featured in the the Chicken Soup series. For more information on Cindy Argiento, visit cindyargiento.com.
