Herbalife Family Foundation awards $50,000 grant to the YWCA of Winston-Salem
The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) has awarded a $50,000 grant to the YWCA of Winston-Salem, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting social justice through programs that support at-risk children, women in recovery, and individuals striving for healthier lives. The YWCA of Winston-Salem is among 28 other U.S.-based nonprofits participating in the Casa Herbalife Program, a global HFF initiative that collaborates with community organizations to provide nutritious meals, educational resources, and safe environments for children and underserved communities.
Through its Casa Herbalife Program, HFF distributed $5 million this year to 164 non-profit organizations across 59 countries and territories, furthering its mission of empowering communities worldwide.
The Casa Herbalife Program is made possible by the generosity and commitment of Herbalife’s independent distributors and employees. Their dedication has fueled HFF’s impactful work, directly supporting communities and transforming lives. This year’s funding is projected to benefit approximately 200,000 children globally, delivering essential support where it is needed most.
“These grants go beyond financial aid – they represent a commitment to empowering communities, providing children and underserved groups with the tools they need to create a brighter, healthier future,” said Rob Levy, Herbalife Family Foundation board member and International Managing Director at Herbalife. “We deeply appreciate the dedication of Herbalife’s independent distributors and employees, whose passion and hard work spark real, lasting change in the communities where we live and serve.”
“Congratulations to the Herbalife Family Foundation on its 30th anniversary,” said Christy Respess, president and CEO of the YWCA of Winston-Salem. “We’re proud to partner with HFF in our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Together, we’ve provided healthy meals to thousands of children and ensured participants in Gateway to Success and Hawley House have the nutrition they need. This support has directly contributed to better academic and recovery outcomes. HFF’s commitment is vital; children can’t learn, women can’t heal, and our participants can’t thrive without proper nutrition.”
