After having pageants in several North Carolina counties, including Guilford, the Ms. Senior Forsyth County Pageant is making its inaugural foray into the pageant world.

Ms. Senior Forsyth County Pageant will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, 4265 Ebert Road in Winston-Salem. The pageant is now accepting applications for women aged 60+ to compete.

Ms. Senior America is an organization designed to enrich the lives of seniors while also tapping into their energy to enrich the lives of others. We are looking for women who have reached the “age of elegance” of 60+ years. The Ms. Senior America philosophy is based upon the belief that seniors are the foundation of America and one of our most valuable treasures. It is upon their knowledge, experience and resources that the younger generation can build a better society.

Requirements:

*Each competitor will model an evening gown; give a statement of your life’s philosophy; showcase your talent; and have a personal interview with judges.

*Pageant participants must be 60+ years of age and a resident of Forsyth County

Pageant participants must be able to commit to the following required dates in 2024 (*closed to the public): 

*Friday, June 21, 1- 3 p.m. for a meet and greet for candidates*, South Fork Community Center, 4403 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem

*Friday, July 12, 1 – 3 p.m. for the first pageant rehearsal*, Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, 4265 Ebert Road, Winston Salem

*Friday, July 26, 1 – 3 p.m.  for the second pageant rehearsal*, Mt. Carmel Methodist Church

*Friday, Aug. 2, 1 – 5 p.m. for the final pageant rehearsal, Mt. Carmel Methodist Church

*Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m. for the interview with the judges, Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. Following interviews, lunch will be provided.

*Saturday, Aug. 3, 2 p.m. the Ms. Senior Forsyth County Pageant will begin at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. The pageant is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. 

For those interested in competing in the inaugural Ms. Senior Forsyth County Pageant, applications are available upon request. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, June 28, along with a $25 non-refundable entry fee.
