CHRONICLE STAFF REPORT
On March 27, Christians worldwide celebrated Easter, or Resurrection Sunday, a day they say Jesus the Christ rose from the dead more than 2,000 years ago. A wooden cross with a white cloth draped over it is a symbol of that belief.
Now, many Christians prepare for Pentecost, especially Pentecost Sunday, which will be May 15 this year. This is celebrated 50 days after Easter and marks when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and others who followed Jesus.
The story can be found in Acts 2.
