Moss headlining St. Paul revival
St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2400 Dellabrook Rd., will hold homecoming and revival from Oct. 26 – 30.
Events begin with “Welcome Neighbors,” on Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon – 4 p.m. There will be food, fun, games, prizes, a health screening, ministry fair, line dancing and horseback riding.
On Sunday at 11 a.m., Pastor Donald Jenkins will preach at the homecoming service, themed, “More About Jesus.”
The revival kicks off on Monday, Oct. 28 with Dr. Marvin Anthony Moss, senior pastor of Cascade United Methodist Church in Atlanta. He will speak at 7 p.m. each evening through Oct. Oct. 30. Since his arrival at Cascade in June 2006, 1,300 people have joined the congregation. The church has more than 50 ministries that perform outreach services locally, nationally and around the world.
Moss is the founder of the newly-established Cascade Community Development Corporation, which is designed to provide an environment for new and small businesses and revitalize depressed communities. Moss is a native of Goldsboro. He is a graduate of Hampton University, the Naval Chaplains Reserve Officers School and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Gammon Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew University.
