N.C.’s youngest natural hair specialist officially opens salon

Last weekend Aubrianna Lash witnessed her dreams become reality when she officially opened the doors to her salon on Sunday, April 7.
Lash, who became the youngest licensed natural hair specialist in the state when she was only 12 years old, said she has had aspirations of owning her own salon since she was only six years old. When asked about the challenge of running her own business, Lash, who is now 14 years old, said she is up for any obstacle that may arise.
“I love doing hair, so that will overpower everything else because I love to do it,” she said. “I’ve always done hair, so it’s really nothing new to me. I don’t really see myself doing anything else except for this.”
With her first shop, Aubrianna’z Kreation’z Queen’z of Natural Hair, up and running, Lash said it’s only the beginning. Lash said her goal is to someday open salons across the country.
“I want to have salons all over the country with my name on it. That’s where I see myself ten years from now.”
Aubrianna’z Kreation’z Queen’z of Natural Hair is located at 720 Coliseum Drive, Suite 127.
