Omegas hold annual cookout
Special to The Chronicle
The Psi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity recently hosted its annual cookout.
Bro. Keith Vereen, basileus of the chapter, said the cookout is significant because it marks the completion of another fraternal year of service and the chapter’s commitment to the community.
The chapter traditionally uses the opportunity to fellowship with members and their invited guests, many of whom supported the chapter throughout the year at fraternity events like Achievement Week, the Scholarship Awards, the Talent Hunt and the Spring Formal.
Bro. Everett Dumas was chairman of the event. As chief organizer, he was responsible for ensuring the event was professional and that all guests had a pleasant evening.
“I’m pleased with the outcome of the event this year,” he said. “It appears all guests had a grand time. It is very pleasing to see the community come together and celebrate another successful year for our beloved fraternity.”
