Mt. Tabor’s Deion Robinson has signed to play basketball at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

The 6’5 senior averages 16.2 points, 2.8 assists, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.  He was the MVP of the most recent Frank Spencer tournament. Robinson has had more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in his career at Mt. Tabor, which has an impressive 22-2 record.

“Deion Robinson has made a very good business decision to commit to the University of Northwestern Ohio,” said Tabor Coach Andy Muse. “This is a very good fit for Deion and the Racers.  He knows exactly what he wants to do later in life and has an opportunity to pursue a degree in applied technologies and to play college basketball … I am very proud of Deion for making a great decision that will affect him for the rest of his life.  It has been a joy to coach Deion and see him come into Mt. Tabor as a fine young boy and leave as a man. He has worked as hard as any player I have coached at Mt. Tabor.”

The University of Northwestern Ohio Racers are an NAIA team in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. The team has a 17-13 record. The school’s College of Applied Technologies is one of the best in the nation.

Robinson is Tabor’s second player to commit to play college basketball next season. Matty Madigan has committed to play at Brown University.
