‘Roll & Stroll’ to help Arts For Life
The 2nd Annual Roll & Stroll to benefit Arts For Life will take place Friday, Nov. 22.
The family fun bike ride, stroller push, wagon pull, and leisurely walk through Tanglewood Park in Clemmons will take place on the night before the Festival of Lights opens to car traffic for the holiday season.
Roll & Strollers participants will make their way through the Festival of Lights, enjoying live music and entertainment along the way, visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus and raising funds and awareness for Arts For Life.
Founded in 2001 at Brenner Children’s Hospital, Arts For Life is a nonprofit organization that brings arts education to young patients and families battling cancer and other serious illnesses. Funds raised at the Roll & Stroll go directly to sustain Arts For Life’s support services for the Triad community’s children and families in need.
On-site registration begins at 4:30 p.m. at Shelter 2 in Tanglewood Park. The walk will start on the 2.5 mile course between 6 and 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to register early online at www.aflnc.org/rollandstroll and create a personal fundraising page to invite friends, family and neighbors to share in their support of Arts For Life. The top fundraiser will win a Kindle Fire.
Admission for adults is $20; it is $10 for students and free for kids ages 12 and under. Parking is free.
