Series of events slated for Dr. Mack’s anniversary
In celebration of Pastor Sir Walter Mack Jr.’s 13th pastoral anniversary, Union Baptist Church will sponsor a Women’s Passion Conference and First Lady’s Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and anniversary worship services on Sunday, Oct. 28 at both 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Saturday’s conference will open with praise and prayer. The day has been designed to empower and strengthen women through motivational speakers, presenters and preaching. A conference session for young girls and teens will also be held.
Following the conference, a brunch hosted by Union First Lady Kim Mack will be held at 11:30 a.m. The gathering will be a time of fellowship and an opportunity for women to embrace sisterhood.
The theme of Sunday’s services is “Celebrating 13 Years of Claiming Territory for the Glory of God.” First Lady Mack will speak at 8:45 a.m.
Dr. Mack assumed the pastorate of Union Baptist Church in 1999. Under Dr. Mack’s leadership, ministries at Union Baptist Church center on dynamic worship, study, fellowship and evangelism.
