The Theta Mu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and the Beta Lambda Chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. are collecting books and accepting donations through Dec. 9 to ship books to start a library in Botswana as part of the African Library Project.

New and gently-used 4th grade level books are needed. Books can be dropped off at 1225 Reynolds Forest Drive. Donations can be mailed to the same address.  All checks should be made payable to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Theta Mu Sigma Chapter.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community and abroad. Public service, leadership development and youth education are the hallmarks of the organization’s programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho also addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically and economically.

The National Sorority of Delta Kappa, a professional organization of teachers dedicated to the task of training youth of America to cope satisfactorily and effectively with today’s problems, firmly believes that education is a potent factor in maintaining and perpetuating democracy as the most ideal form of life.
