St. Paul to host Women’s Conference
Special to The Chronicle
The ladies of St. Paul United Methodist Church will hold their annual Women’s Conference from March 22–23. This year’s theme is “Women Transformed by God, Transforming Others.”
Each year, the event is a praise celebration aimed at worshiping God and providing information that can improve the lives of women in the community.
A workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. It will start with a continental breakfast and end with a luncheon. Michelle Cook, who leads the Winston-Salem State University Foundation, will discuss what women need to do to grow closer to each another. There is a $8 registration fee for Saturday’s workshop. College students can attend for free with a student ID.
Shelia Robinson, publisher of Diversity Woman magazine, will speak on Sunday at the 11 a.m. service, which will also feature the church’s Women’s Choir, praise dancers and a scripture reading. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
St. Paul United Methodist Church is located at 2400 Dellabrook Rd. Rev. Donald Jenkins is the host pastor.
