With the election of President Donald Trump in 2016, the 5th District congressional race in North Carolina may have become one of the most important mid-term elections in the country.
A Democratic candidate for the 5th Congressional District of North Carolina is calling for “a political revolution.” Josh Brannon spoke at Forsyth County Democratic Party headquarters on Thursday, May 5, in a forum along with Jim Roberts and Charlie Wallin.
Three candidates will be competing in the June 7 Democratic primary for the chance to run against incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx, who was first elected in 2004 to represent the 5th Congressional District.
