A local Eagle “soared” at the ninth Awards Dinner on Saturday, July 13, in Durham. Mrs. Mable Hicks Stevenson, a 1963 graduate of then North Carolina College (now NCCU), was honored as the recipient of the Founder’s Award.
“Truth and SERVICE” is North Carolina Central University’s motto. Friday, July 12, was recognized as the 10th National Day of Service at the University.
On Thursday, May 16, members of the Winston-Salem Chapter of North Carolina Central University Alumni Association gathered. The purpose was not to conduct business, nor to render service. Rather, the purpose was to celebrate “Golden” Eagles in the chapter and area.
