The honors keep coming in for the Winston-Salem State University softball program as fresh-man utility Destiny Snipes was named to the Conference Commissioner’s Association (CCA) NCAA Division II Atlantic/District 2 All-Region team, on May 9.

WSSU, which finished the season at 30-23, delivered a comeback win (5-4 over Chowan) in the finals of the CIAA Tournament to earn its second trip to post-season play in three years. Even so, the make-up of this year’s squad is not quite the same as the team that advanced to the playoffs in 2014.
As league tournament champs, the Lady Rams earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Atlantic Regional which begins today (May 5).
