Titans advance to third round of state playoffs

The West Forsyth boys basketball team has advanced to the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association (NCSHSAA) playoffs.
After coming up short in the Central Piedmont 4A Championship game, the Titans got back to their winning ways in the first round of the playoffs with a 77-70 victory over Marvin Ridge.
In the second round, led by senior guard Jacari Brim and junior forward Jordan Tate, West Forsyth was able to pull out the 54-47 victory in overtime over South Caldwell.
The Titans’ next test will be against Watauga. The game is scheduled for March 4 at 7 p.m. The game will be played at West Forsyth. On the season, the Titans are 26-3 and looking to capture the school’s first state championship.
