Two former Winston-Salem State University students spent their summer adding two murals to the Bowman Gray Fieldhouse and the C.E. Gaines Center.

Phillip Osborne III, class of 2009, and Brandon Coley, class of 2012, used their artistic genius to help create two very meaningful murals for the athletics department. The brothers have done numerous murals on campus and have also created coloring books showing different athletic events.

The mural inside the fieldhouse is on the wall leaving the strength and conditioning room headed toward the field. It’s a piece the players will run by as they run out on game day. It follows the theme of “We See Red” by having a red background with the Ram logo, football players, and the stadium painted on it.

The mural inside the C.E. Gaines Center showcases six men’s and women’s basketball Hall of Famers. From left to right you will see Cleo Hill, Sr. (1957-61), Sharron Holloway-Tanner (1984-88), Clarence “Big House” Gaines (1946-93), Earl “The Pearl” Monroe (1964-67), Stephen A. Smith (1987-91), and Keenan Menefee (1983-86).
