Update on Road Clearing Efforts

City crews have made good progress on clearing snow and ice from major arterial roads, hospital/critical care routes and brining the Central Business District. Thus far, city crews have placed over 500 tons of road salt and over 50,000 gallons of brine on city roads.
Today’s efforts will focus on clearing collector roads and addressing trouble spots in shaded areas with possible transition to residential roads later this afternoon.
Temperatures will again be below freezing tonight, making overnight traveling hazardous. If traveling this evening or tomorrow morning, please watch out for black ice in plowed/treated sections.
