Wake Forest Soccer’s Aubrey Bledsoe, the goalkeeper, was named to the 2013 NSCAA All-America team, becoming only the third player in program history to earn All-America honors three times.
Bledsoe was selected to the third team, joining Katie Stengel and Kaley Fountain as Wake Forest’s three-time All-Americans.
A senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, Bledsoe kept eight shutouts, a 0.87 goals against average and a .800 save percentage this season, leading the Demon Deacons to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. She earned first team All-ACC honors this season making the all-conference team for the third year in row.
A starter of all 94 games of her college career, Bledsoe leaves Wake Forest as the school’s career leader for shutouts, goals against average, starts and minutes played.
Bledsoe was also named to the Lowes Senior CLASS Award second team Friday. She was the program’s first player to be named a finalist for the award that recognizes excellence on and off the field.
