CIAA honors keep coming for Rams
The Winston-Salem State University quarterback Kameron Smith and wide receiver Juhuann Butler have been named CIAA Players of the Week for their respective positions.
Smith continued his stellar play Saturday as he completed 21 of 31 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in WSSU’s 56-37 win over St. Augustine’s University. This is the fourth time this season Smith has been named the CIAA Quarterback of the Week, and the second straight week he has earned this honor.
Butler had a huge game for the #3-ranked Rams, finishing with eight catches for 218 yards and two touchdowns, with a long score of 71 yards.
The Winston-Salem State University Rams will celebrate Homecoming 2012 on Saturday as they host the Blue Bears of Livingstone College at 1:30 p.m. at Bowman Gray Stadium.
