The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem will present “Little Shop of Horrors,” with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, on Friday, Oct. 18, at the HanesBrands Theatre, 209 N. Spruce Street in Winston-Salem.  Additional performances will be held Oct. 19-20, 24-27, and Nov. 1-3. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m., with an additional Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. on Nov. 2.

This horror-comedy musical is a cult favorite! Winner of multiple awards, “Little Shop of Horrors” tells the story of Seymour, a hapless florist shop worker who discovers a mysterious plant with an unusual appetite – for blood. As Seymour’s fame grows, so does the plant’s hunger in this delightfully twisted take on ambition, love, and morality.

Director Chad Edwards shares, “Working on this show has been an absolute pleasure. This certainly is a dream cast and crew. I haven’t had this much fun in a rehearsal room in a long time. I believe audiences are really going to enjoy the show. There are a couple of surprises in store for longtime fans of the show.”

Directed by Chad Edwards, with Dan Dodson as music director and Thao Nguyen as choreographer, the set design is by This Robot Dreams, lighting design by Shawn Hooper, and costumes by Daisy Neske. Kevin Hampton will stage manage the production. The cast is as follows:

Seymour Krellborn – Nathan Sebens
