All-County JV basketball teams
The 2019-20 JV basketball season featured many up-and-coming ball players from around the county. The Chronicle wanted to honor these young men for their efforts on the court with an All-County Team to show our appreciation for their hard work.
To be as objective as possible, The Chronicle asked all 12 WS/FCS JV head coaches to name who they thought were the top five players in the county, along with who they felt was player of the year. Once those ballots were received, the votes were tallied and here are the results.

Player and Coach of the Year
Player of the Year: O’Shae Fernanders (Mt. Tabor). Fernanders averaged 14.8 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists per game during his freshman year. He was named to the Lash/Chronicle All-Tournament team, had a triple double this season, scored over 20 points 5 times, and led his team to a 23-1 record overall.
Coach of the Year: Kedrick Carpenter (Mt. Tabor). Carpenter led the Spartans to a 23-1 record overall, only losing to Dudley while three of his top players were sick with the flu. Carpenter also led the Spartans to the 2019 Lash/Chronicle Championship in the Lash bracket. He routinely has one of the top JV teams in the county every year, preaching defense and rebounding as his trademarks.
