The Kimberley Park Tennis Club (KPTC) was established in 1974. Its purpose was to expose and develop the game of tennis among the Winston-Salem African American community.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), which accredits colleges and universities in 11 Southern states, has deemed Salem Academy and College fully compliant on all requirements.
Dr. Angela Hairston, superintendent of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS), has named Tricia McManus the new deputy superintendent and Andrea Gillus the new chief financial officer for WS/FCS.
Winston-Salem City Council Member Denise “D.D.” Adams was elected to the National League of Cities (NLC) board of directors by NLC’s membership at the 2019 City Summit in San Antonio.
