The Theatre Alliance is preparing to re-stage the award-winning musical “Avenue Q” from July 19–28.

“Avenue Q” is a musical about the lively and off-the-wall characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of their lives. It follows Princeton, a bright-eyed college graduate new to the area, as he desperately tries to follow his dreams and discover his ever-elusive purpose in life. A tiny bank balance, the distraction of a busty blonde, and a variety of weird and wonderful friends and neighbors lead Princeton on a story of self-discovery. Hilarious and uproariously entertaining with songs performed by a cast of hugely talented performers and puppets, “Avenue Q” is a musical like no other.

The Theatre Alliance had much success last year when it performed the musical, which wittingly tackles subjects such as dating, racism and homosexuality.

Tickets to Avenue Q are on sale now and are priced at $16 for adults and $14 for students/seniors.  Tickets for opening night (Friday, July 19th) are priced at $14 for adults and $12 for students. There is also a $2 per ticket discount available for groups of 10 or more. Tickets to Avenue Q  may be purchased in person at the Theatre Alliance Box Office (1047 West Northwest Blvd.), online at www.wstheatrealliance.org, or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at (800) 838-3006.
