This year’s Forsyth County Entertainment Awards will be held on Sunday, June 22 at the Millennium Center, 101 W. Fifth St.

The best of the best will be honored in 32 categories, including R&B/Jazz Artist of the Year, Actor of the Year, Graphic Designer of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Bartender of the Year, DJ of the Year, Creative Writer of the Year and Country Band of the Year. Four Crystal Diamond Honorarium Awards will be given to the following honorees: Dr. Rudolph Sullivan, a producer and recording artist; Harry Knabb, founder of Art for Arts Sake; Nathyl Snipes and Brandon Cain, recording artists and founders of TG Entertainment; and Marrianne DiNopoli-Mylet, a multi-media artist and founder of !Powar.

Doors to the Millennium Center will open at 4 p.m. The Red Carpet event starts at 4:30 p.m., and the ceremony begins at 5 p.m. Performers will include Music Therapy (the House Band), gospel artists Antonio Keaton and Demetris Jeter Young, country band Norlina, country artist Zach Burick, dancers from Greater Vision Dance Studio and singer Allen Ervin. Comedian Dion Fowler and singer/songwriter Lily Talent will host the awards ceremony.

Ellen Leak, owner of Cut a Rug Time, LLC, founded the awards in 2011 to recognize local talent. Nominees and winners of the awards are determined by the online votes of the public. In 2012, 2,571 residents voted for winners.

Tickets to the show are $20 each or $160 for table of 10. Tickets can be purchased at www.fceawards.com/tickets.
