Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1711 N. Claremont Ave., will have its family conference on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theme will be, “Families Destined for Greater: How to Win at Life.”

The purpose is to provide families with tangible steps, knowledge, inspiration, aspiration, motivation and tools to improve the quality of their lives. The focus will be on spiritual, social, educational and economic aspects, based on the given theme.

There will be sessions for the youth (middle and high school students), young adults (college students) and adults. There will also be activities for kids.
“The conference is designed to make a real impact on our community,” said Pastor Dwight Hash. “We hope that everyone will come so that we can all benefit together, and take information we gain into our homes, our churches, our community for the betterment of all of us.”

A host of speakers are in attendance to deliver keynote addresses. Certain guest speakers like Dr. Anthony Evans, president and CEO of National Black Church Initiative of Washington, D.C.; Judge Denise Hartsfield, District Court judge of the 21st District; Councilman James Taylor Jr., of the Southeast Ward; and WXII News Anchor Margaret Johnson are among the few that are expected.

A $10 donation will cover the cost of all meals that will be served, gift registration bags and participation in all sessions of the conference. Registration can be online and at the door.
