With the pandemic still in full swing, many business owners are struggling to make ends meet. In an effort to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs, the Baker Business Center (BBC), 3443 Robinhood Road, Ste. O, is holding a vendor pop-up starting this Saturday, Nov. 28.

The event will run for four consecutive Saturdays from 9 a.m.  to 3 p.m. and will feature vendors from different landscapes to sell their items to hopefully drive sales for everyone involved. Cory Baker of the BBC says they felt the vendor pop-up would be a great way to get their name out to the community, while also helping a fellow business owner.

“We just tried to think of a way we could help give back to other local business owners and we recognized the trend of vendor pop-ups going on and we decided that we could open up our space to business owners and allow them to come in and take advantage of the space,” said Baker.

“It will be the same vendors every weekend, so hopefully they can build some consistency for the next few weeks leading up to Christmas, just to kind of help them with sales and build a new customer base.”

The cost for the vendors is $150 for the entire four weeks of the pop-up event. That price includes marketing, tables and chairs, along with refreshments for the vendors. They have previously held two successful vendor pop-ups in August and September, so they are hoping this event will continue that trend.

“It was real important for us to try and help out, because we had to think of something different to do during these times by opening up an E-learning site,” he continued. “We had to create an opportunity, so I feel like opening our doors and giving these local vendors a chance to expand their businesses, especially during these times, is just another way to scratch each other’s back.

“We always try to act off of need, that’s where a lot of our services come from. I know you hear a lot of successful people say the best way to become successful is to help someone else. And that’s just kind of the way we act as a company at the Baker Business LLC.”

Baker stated that there are still open spots available for the vendor pop-up. For those who are interested, please contact the BBC at bakerbusinesscenterllc@gmail.com.
