Busta’s Person of the Week: ‘Men, go to the doctor, because early detection will save your life’

Wake Forest Baptist Health is the first health system in the country to enroll patients in a Phase 2 clinical trial designed to quickly determine whether drugs already approved for other uses can be repurposed to effectively treat COVID-19 in critically ill patients.

Officials from United Way of Forsyth County and The Winston-Salem Foundation have announced the third and final phase of grant funding from the COVID-19 Response Fund for Forsyth County. Donations will continue to be accepted to the fund through September 30.
Thanks to the COVID-19 Response Fund for Forsyth County established by our community partners, ESR was able to create the Emergency Empowerment and Readiness Initiative to support local community members impacted by the novel coronavirus. The initiative began on Tuesday, July 21.
