First Waughtown Baptist Church (FWBC) conducted its annual Bible Boot Camp July 21-23 with 19 campers ages 4-13 in attendance at the church at 838 Moravia Street. This year’s theme was I Live, I Move, I Breathe, based on Acts 17:22-31.

On Aug. 14th, Pastor Johnathan Stowe will deliver his first sermon as pastor-elect of Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Robbins, North Carolina. Stowe has been around the ministry since being born, but his calling came later as others saw it in him before he did himself.

Local pastor retires after more than six decades of service
Pastor Donald Jenkins has led the congregation at St. Paul United Methodist Church for 29 years. On Sunday June 26, Jenkins will deliver his final sermon and retire from the ministry he has dedicated so much of his life to.
First Waughtown Baptist Church (FWBC) recognized 11 high school and college graduates during its College Day service Sunday, June 12. Each graduate received a congratulatory gift from the church in a drive-thru event Thursday, June 16.
More than 120 supporters of Rev. Rodney Stillwell gathered on May 21 to celebrate his lasting impact on the community. After more than 35 years of faithful ministry to the incarcerated men and women of Forsyth County, Rev. Stillwell has retired.
