The Inspiration of Faith Choir of Rising Ebenezer Baptist Church, 900 Free St., will hold the first of what it hopes is many “Late Night Musical” events on Friday, Aug. 9 at 10:30 p.m.

Established in 1995 by founder/directress Kimberlee Brown, the Choir has grown not merely in size, but spiritually.

“We offer our voice in praise to God and are sincere in our worship,” said Brown.

There are currently 10 members of the Choir and three talented musicians – Joe Morgan (keyboard), Tracy Brown (bass) and Corey Rutherford (drums/vocalist). The Inspiration of Faith Choir sings at the church every fourth Sunday and collaborates with the Mass Choir on every third Sunday.

Historical Rising Ebenezer is located at the top of the hill in the Happy Hill community. The church is proactive in serving not only the church body, but the community as a whole.

More than 100 years old, the church is led by Pastor William C. Brown and has a primary mission of “Soul-Saving.”

Late Night Musical is free and open to all. No offering will be taken.

For more information, call 336-986-2456, 336-416-5231 or the church at 336-723-7860.
